SCHOOL RULES

The Mewat Model Schools Society strives to fulfil the following objectives through the Mewat Model Schools:

  • A student must carry his/ her almanac to school everyday. It must have his/ her photograph and identity information complete and signed by the parents.
  • Students who come to school by their own vehicle should arrive at school before the bell is rung. No student is allowed to come to school on a self-driven scooter, motorcycle or car.
  • Non- Sikh boys should get their hair cut at regular intervals. Sikh boys must wear turbans in class IX and above.
  • Students are expected to respect the property of others. This includes respect for school property. No student should damage the school furniture, write or draw any thing on walls or in any way damage things belonging to others. Fine would be charged for such acts.
  • The school is not responsible for goods lost. It is advisable not to bring valuable articles like expensive watches, ornaments or cell phones to school.
  • Student who come to school in the care of servants should never leave before the servant arrive, in case of delay they should report to the school office. Those who go home alone should be prompt in returning straight to their homes.
  • Students should be polite wherever they go. They should always remember that the school is judged by their conduct. They should greet their teachers when they meet them. Bullying and use of foul language are punishable offence.
  • The school reserves the right to suspend or to take strict disciplinary action against a student whose diligence or progress in studies is constantly unsatisfactory or whose conduct is harmful to other students.
  • Parents and guardians are not allowed to visit their ward or teacher in classroom without the permission of the Principal/ Vice principal.
  • As far as possible, once a child has come to school she/ he should not be asked to come home on half day leave or short leave.
  • Student should get their report cards signed by their parents/ guardians within five days of the receipt of report cards and return them to class- teacher. If lost, Rs.50 as fine, will be charged.
  • Students are not supposed to miss any teaching/ games/ activity period.
  • Students are not allowed to bring cell phone to school in any case
  • Students found indulge in any of the following practices will be dealt strictly
    • Spitting in or near the school building.
    • Disfiguring or otherwise damaging any school property.
    • Smoking
    • Any form of gambling
    • Rowdyism and rude behavior
    • Use of violence in any form.
    • Casteism, communalism or practice of untouchability
  • The observance of rules of discipline of the school and good behavior is an essential condition. In case a student violates the school rules or indulges in any form of indiscipline, strict action like expulsion/ suspension/ rustication shall be taken against the student
